A writer from Indy
I grew up in a family of artists, writers, and ad men. A few of my best childhood memories were not on a playground, but in an ad agency meeting room, where my dad first taught me how an idea, like a lump of clay, could be molded into something worth sharing (or hurled at a wall until it stuck).
He showed me how to make the mundane unforgettable. And my late mother showed me how to never abandon my child self—with his pen, headphones, and kayak paddle. If all I’m left with is a few tales for my nephew, I will die happy.
At my midwestern core, I’m a wordsmith. I write ads, draft copy, and produce the creative your brand needs to reach new audiences.
As an undergrad at Mizzou, I studied creative writing, journalism, and history. Drafting articles, promoting musicians, and waiting tables have shaped me professionally. Those skills informed my writing when I started my career at Curiosity Advertising.
